This silly, quirky animation was done as a fun way to re-imagine characters from my favorite PC game of all time: Everquest.

As an exploration of simple character rigging and animation, I created this as a tribute to Project1999, a classic Everquest emulator. I pulled the character and environment geometry straight out of the game using 3D Ripper DX, a program which monitors the Direct X graphics stream and intercepts data. I rigged the characters using 3D Studio Max's CAT system.

Although I did not get into finger strumming details, I was aiming to convincingly time their musical cadence to the audio track.
