Captain's Log
Skills: Texturing, Lighting, Particle FX
For a lighting & compositing challenge, I created two 3D still renders and two matte paintings based on a supplied captain's log entry. I did all the FX, texturing, lighting, and compositing.

This project began as a lighting challenge over at cgsociety.org. We were given a 3D model of a ship (created by Giorgio Luciano) and told to create an image using it. The catch is that you had to base your scene on one of the four provided captain's log entries.

The log notebook images are matte paintings built from many 2D assets.
