Windows 98 Gaming Machine (retro build)
Skills: PC Building
Most components in this build were released in the summer of 1998: Intel Celeron 300A SL2WM overclocked to 450MHz, Abit BH6 motherboard, 256MB PC100 RAM, Matrox Millennium G200 w/ memory expansion (16MB total), two Orchid Righteous 3dfx Voodoo2 12MB cards running in SLI, a Creative Soundblaster Live CT4760 sound card, a DiamondMax Plus 2500 10GB 7200RPM HDD, and an IBM Deskstar 22GXP 22GB 7200RPM HDD. I went with a modern PSU though (SilverStone 450W SFX 80 Plus Gold) because I wanted something fully modular for cleanliness and also reliability. I got the case as well as the 21" Trinitron monitor from Recycled Goods in Ventura, CA.

I added two fans to the heatsink for safety since I'm overclocking the chip.
